Call for Post-proceedings (CEUR) of BENEVOL 2025:
The 24th Belgium-Netherlands
Software Evolution Workshop
BENEVOL 2025 last November was a successful event with lively discussions and a strong set of presentations, ranging from original research papers to on-the-spot tool pitches. As a follow-up, we invite participants who presented at BENEVOL 2025, to submit extended/improved/final versions for inclusion in a free open-access CEUR volume. This post-proceedings volume aims to capture the best of BENEVOL 2025 in a citable, archival form, while preserving the workshop’s spirit: early results, bold ideas, practical tools, and constructive feedback.

If you have presented a 🔬CORE or 🔁REAP paper, please finalise it by preparing a camera-ready version. You can have 10–15 pages plus unlimited space for references and appendices.

If you have presented a 🚀DIVE paper, please finalise it by preparing a camera-ready version. You have a choice to either extend it to a full paper (10–15 pages plus references) or stay within the short paper format (5–9 pages including references). The choice depends on how far have you progressed in this work since the workshop, possibly with the feedback collected there.

If you have presented a 🌟SHOW paper, the same results probably were submitted elsewhere — and hopefully accepted. If that is the case, please let us know so that we can link your other related publication to the presentation entry on the website? This would help participants who were interested in your presentation, to be able to engage deeper with your work.

If you have pitched a 🛠️TOOL at the Tool Market on the second day, you can submit either a full (10–15 pages plus references) or a short (5–9 pages including references) description of this tool. If there are other closely-related publications concerning the same tool, reference them explicitly and also keep the overlap at 30% at most.

If you have given a 🔥Keynote, you can also complement it with a post-proceedings paper of any length.

Submitted papers should be:
The papers will be reviewed based on their delta with the pre-proceedings: cosmetic changes will only be moderated and proofread, slight extensions lightly reviewed and substantial extensions will require a full round of reviewing. The reviewing load will be carried proportionally by the submitters in addition to involving the PC.
Important dates:
- Submission deadline: 10 April 2026
- Notification for minor revisions: 20 April 2026
- Notification for major revisions: 30 April 2026
